Hi, I am new. Over a week ago, I placed an order with Essay Relief and today received the paper. It had one black paper in the middle on this 8-page assignment, I did a check for plagiarism on a web site that checks 32 characters at a time, and the first two lines were written word for word from different web sites. Has anyone worked with them? I emailed them stating the errors and that I want either a rewrite or my money back. I called the number: 866-551-03552 and got a message machine and checked out the site "Education Services Provider" with no help. Will they follow through? Thanks for your help R.

They're fraudsters based in Pakistan - contact your credit card company and get your money back.

Quoting: rrdyrmdy, Post #4 Yea, how do you get your money back from the credit card company? Are you sure it's worth it? Unless the company ignores you and doesn't want to work something out with you, I don't think it's a wise idea to try to do a chargeback. If you do a chargeback, you are no longer the company's customer. That means, they can use whatever information they have against you (if they want to be nasty). I once bought something online and didn't recognize the name on the credit card statement. So I called my bank and told them I didn't authorize this charge. After filling out some papers, the bank credited my account. A month later the company emailed me and wrote I was no longer their client and they forward the case to a collection agency. Then I realized I knew what I had purchased (but the website's name was different from the billing name; that's why I was confused). On the next day the agency called my employer and I had to explain myself. I resolved it in the end, but it gave me a lot of unnecessary stress. I don't know if it's totally legal to send a client to a collection agency, but it worked.

I've done a chargeback on a credit card in relation to an essay I purchased - it was straightforward and I had no negative consequences from doing this.
I contacted my credit card company and told them what the issue was - in my case that I was sold something as a piece of original research that turned out to be plagiarised. I sent my credit card company a copy of the essay with the sections highlighted that had been plagiarised and I also enclosed copies of the relevant webpages.
Consumer law is much stronger in the UK than the USA, and the laws which govern debt collection also offer protection to the consumer from breaches in privacy (i.e the creditor or debt collector telling neighbors / employers etc that you owe money). If a debt collector called your employer in the UK and told your employer that you owed them money then you could take legal action against the creditor / debt collection agency under the Protection from Harrassment Act 1997. You would also be able to report the debt collector to the Office of Fair Trading.

You can try complaining to your card company - and say that what you bought was not fit for the purpose for which it was bought. They may say it is a subjective judgment whether the answers are rubbish or not.
It's so much easier to get your money back if the company doesn't provide anything at all, or if the essay can be easily proved to be plagiarised.

I just recieved an email from essay relief that said, Dear Customer
We had already sent you the completed paper. However, in order to ensure that you have received it, we are attaching a copy of the completed paper with this email.
If you had already received it, please disregard this message.
Thanks Customer Services
I replied directly to that email explaining the plagiarism so we will see. The card I used was not a credit card but a debit card from my checking account. I was going to contact them and possibly cancel that card and have them issue me a new one.

I think if you cancel your debit card your bank will still have to honor the payment and take the money out of your account as you agreed to the transaction. It might still be worth cancelling your card though as at least then the fraudsters won't have your new account details.
You have little chance of stopping the money being taken from your account - the only hope is that your bank will be sympathetic to your situation and reverse the transaction. I'm not sure your position is as strong with a debit card compared with a credit card but it is worth talking to your bank.

I cannot believe this but I recieved a new paper today and there was no plagiarism on this. They didn't site any sources but one and I asked for 5 scolarly references as per my assignment, but at least I can work with this. This has restored my trust in essayrelief.com and I might use them again if I really need to in the future.

You must be desperate or have very low standards.
These Essay Relief crooks who operate both .com and .co.uk domains have been exposed both in the USA (by CNN) and in the UK (by the Mail on Sunday) and they threatened journalists with kalashnikov rifles at their base in Pakistan when they were being investigated.
Not the sort of people I'd be willing to do business with.

Well CNN must have the same "low" standards as I because when I searched on their web site for Essay Relief I found a link to their site as a web-sponsered result. Meaning CNN accepted muney for Marketing for distribution on CNN.

You should contact CNN and tell them that they are promoting proven criminals - they probably don't even realize the link is there.
I have a copy of the newspaper article that appeared in a national newspaper in August 2006 about Essay Relief - the journalist and cameraman recount being attacked by kalashnikov wielding thugs. It makes very interesting reading. If you private message me with your true e-mail address (i.e. not a free mail or anonymized e-mail address) I will send you a copy of the article.
If you want any more info on Essay Relief - or any of the dozens of their subsidiaries or the fake universities that they set up that you can buy degrees from - there's plenty on Essayfraud.org
If you want to carry on supporting criminals, that's fine too. Your choice.

Essayrelief.com are notorious scammers who pay Google and Yahoo a fortune to promote themselves and their other essay writing ventures and bogus degree companies on the net. They also set up a fake plagiarism detection service online.
The reason that Essay Relief appear as a link on the CNN website is that the search facility is powered by Yahoo Search. CNN state clearly on their website that they do not endorse any of these links.
The CNN story was, as I recall, primarily focused on the Essay Relief ventures that sell bogus degrees and the potential problems in society of having people in professional positions who are not really qualified for their work. The newspaper article concentrated exclusively on the criminals behind the Essay Relief essay writing business.
Dylan, I don't know why you spend do much time trying to help people who have no concept of due diligence. Let them learn the hard way; it's all part of growing up.

9:39am Apr 23, 07 - Attached on merging: Essay Relief
Ordered on the telephone - sent pdf of questions , word count etc. they sent me back pages and pages of internet pages. Requested a refund - was told to ask for it to be changed - did this, still a load of rubbish received. Demanded a refund - was told I could have 40% told them I wanted 100% or would take legal action, was offered 75% - I still held out and re-iterated and listed what they didn't do etc. and eventually they agreed to a full refund. it took a week of chasing but the money has come back into my account. Bit concerned now though reading about who essay relief are etc. and the fact that they have my credit card number. I think i will be closing that acount fast.
