I want to warn all students out there..please don't place your orders with both of the companies. They are same even though one claims to be in Cambridge and other in East London. Also, being registered with companies house doesn't make these companies legitimate. Mind you imperial research (actual name) uses imperial essays as their trading name (http://www.imperialessays.co.uk/). We placed orders worth £600 with imperial essays / imperial research. I was recommended imperial research by Maria Thompson (from university work) whereas I read her lie on this website denying that university work and imperial research are not connected.
Please reply to and circulate this post so that any student who wish to place order with them must be aware of their fraud!

Dear Forum Members,

This is an official statement from universitywork.co.uk[DND*]. Please note that we are not a part of "Imperial Essays", we operate as an completely independent company from them.
We are based in Cambridgeshire and have been providing academic services for the past few years (Registered in England & Wales Registration Number 7013558).
The opinions expressed on this forum are that of each individual and do not represent our company officially. All our details can be verified on the Company House website as every other company in the UK has to register there address for official reasons.
Any student wishing to visit the office is welcome to do so by booking an appointment with us and calling our office on 01954 201487.

All our details can be verified

Your company's clear lack of commitment to quality can also be verified by reading the webcopy on your home page. Not nearly as bad as a lot of the ESL sites, but you really need to hire an outside writer to clean it up for you--you obviously don't employ anyone capable enough.

Maria Thompson!

Being registered in the UK and Wales doesn't make you legitimate because companies house doesn't audit your work ethics and business polices that you practice.
Secondly if you are genuinely operating from the UK, why my call made on your landline number is every time forwarded to your mobile number?
Do you really think that being located in two different locations in the UK justifies your argument of not being associated with imperial research?
And if you are so genuine as you claim, please book an appointment on this platform in name of Jerry who is my friend and lives in the UK. He can visit you coming monday! i'll look forward to your reply!

Maria, f off. You don't get to address your less-than-honest site because YOU chose to place it in the DND list. You obviously have many things to hide.

Being registered in the UK or even in the US does not mean that the company isn't a scam. i could legally set up a company here (the US), hire writers in India, and charge whatever I wanted while paying them whatever I wanted. It takes more initiative and more capital to do this than it does to operate a site directly from Pakistan or wherever, but it's totally legal and possible. It also means it's easier for consumers to get their money back when they ask for it, but a lot of consumers don't know how to demand refunds through the proper channels (ahem).

These businesses, like most companies and industries that prey on rather than serve consumers, are supported by your ignorance. Educate yourself, and they go away.

There is no way for a company to prove that it is legitimate. Even the offer made by "Maria" to come visit their office isn't any sort of evidence, as there's no way that any company can afford to house its writers in cubicles in some large office building--at best, you'd be meeting a sales rep who could be there to lie to you as easily as they could be telling the truth.

When selecting a company, look for the red flags and don't convince yourself it'll be OK just because you really want it to be. research, be critical, and when you finally DO decide to place an order make it the smallest order possible with the soonest deadline you feel you can afford. This will give you plenty of time to assess the work and decide if you've found a decent company and writer. There is simply no way for a company to prove it is legitimate beforehand, however, as any testimonial (positive or negative) found online could be fake.

but would a company with a companies number, UK bank account and a local telephone number be more likely to be legit than those who do not have these ?

A legit company in the UK would have all of these things, but having these things doesn't make a company legit. I wish I could draw you a Venn diagram, but basically just because all weezles are wozzles doesn't mean all wozzles are weezels.

Miss Thompson,

I am still waiting for a reply to book in my friend Jerry to visit your office (even though, it wouldn't prove your work ethics whatsoever) so that we all can see, how genuine your work practices are! Trust me I won't let you play with students' money and their future at the expense of your unprofessionalism, bad intent, zero reputation and credibility!

Dear Maria-

If you want to put your scam company on the do not discuss list, you need to not discuss. I'm sure English isn't your first language, but this should be pretty easy to understand.

Maria,
This is exactly what I am asking for! Book an appointment for my friend. I have tried many times calling your office, but its mostly on voicemails, perhaps due to the time difference!
Just book an appointment here!

Dear members,

I just managed to call university work! (actually a friend of mine did call on my behalf since I don't live in the UK). My friend talked to Anne, and she said that Maria Thompson is on her holidays. When referred to Maria's claims on this website, Anne was unknown to any such claims and said that she can't arrange an appointment with Maria until next month.
Even though she provided the same address as on their website as their official address, however she sounded just like a sale rep who is not able to satisfy queries that I can raise as a potential client, who is willing to place a dissertation with the company!
Long story short, they are running an unethical business where they don't know what they are doing, making false claims on these blogs! Perhaps they have no real business dealings except for writing on these blogs!

The odds are very good that "Maria Thompson" is not a real person--either a fake name used by one individual at the company, or a fake name used by several people at the company. Even if it is a real person, it hardly matters; they're scammers and liars and they're even bad at that. If people knew that chargebacks were so readily available, companies like this would be out of business.

pheelyks, you are absolutely right. I do not know how I believed Maria, when I spoke to her over the phone with regard to my assignment. The entire team is a bunch of fraudsters. They called me 'N' no. of times to get the business and once I paid, there was no sign of these guys. They stopped replying to my phone calls, e-mails etc. In fact, all there claims are bogus. They do not have any well qualified writers I guess. I received my assignment much before the due date( 2 days) via e-mail, I should be happy. Right? No, because the assignment that was done was worse than what a fifth grade student would do. It was a bunch of information, mind you, in a worst english ever I have seen. I am not saying I am great, but yes, I know better than the writer and the staff that is handling this work.

Should we pay these swindlers only to get failed?

CAUTION:

And yes, for everyone's information:
Maria has a fake accent, she is not British, albeit, claims to be one.
The other guy, Onni, claims to be from Finland, but he has a typical accent, he is either from Pakistan/ or Rural India (Not sure).
They are a bunch of liars, do not believe them.

Yes, I do have the e-mails that were exchanged with the company, which proves their untimely response and the crap assignment that was given by them. The phone conversations, well, I just have the phone bill, which proves that I have had a conversation with the staff several times. Beyond that I can only talk about my experience. What say?

Hi members,

Just to update with my requests with this company asking Maria to make an appointment in Jerry's name. It never happened. Maria had been kicked out of the company or perhaps she choose to be on holidays herself! whatever the case, Jerry had been trying to get in touch with these people but all in vain! So as I said earlier, stay away from them!
And yes, my payment issue had been resolved as advised by the bank manager...
Thanks

Dear all,

It is a shame that I found this website so late.

I must admit that the imperial research or imperial essays, http://www.imperialessays.co.uk/ are bunch of liars and scammers.
Please be aware and do not put any orders with them unless you want to FAIL.

That is what happened to me. I placed an order with them for a dissertation. I made a transfer of over 1000 to their account. I had many problems with them and was stressing out as the deadline for the submission was coming. They did not finish my dissertation on time but fortunately the deadline has been extended by the uni.
The work which I received was even worst than a peace of cr**p. I could not believe how they can charge such amount of money and deliver so poor service. I complained several time and asked them to amend my dissertation. Unfortunately that never happened. I din't know that I can check my diss if it is plagiarism free or not.

I submitted the diss and a few days latter I received an invitation from uni for the hearing on plagiarism. I was terrified... I went there and was given a report from turn it it which gave my diss over 50% of similarity to someone else's work. I had to admit to the board that I copied someone else's work. I felt both humiliated and robbed...

I contacted imperial research and requested a refund. Unfortunately that did not happened so far. The problem is that I made a transfer and I don't think I can do the chargeback.

I am planning to take some legal action against them.

Do you have any ideas what else I can do ?

Cheers
Mark

Hello All

Here I can see a lot of statements against universitywork

However, I have a question for those who are not satisfied with their services...

Do you know if any company operates internationally (providing services to customers from n number of countries), then that means company serves TONS OF CUSTOMERS daily. (That can be easily interpreted based on the financial statements of organizations)

However, if out of those tons of customers daily, or I can say that around tons*365 (days in a year) = around 6o thousand to 80 thousand customers annually (MINIMUM), if these 5-10 customers are not satisfied, then does that mean company is scam?????????????????????

You people (who are critisizing) are well educated and must know that BIG GIANTS in any field, whether manufacturing or production or services DO MAKE MISTAKES... Then are they all FRAUD????

Basically your intention and thoughts are wrong and stop blaming businesses (which you are not capable of doing) that are doing help to people...

I am a satisfied customer and am amazed to see these responses

Thank you and still if anyone has any doubt, get back to me to talk SENSITIVELY

It'd be wise of to substantiate your hollow statement with some concrete evidence. This is something majority of the new comers do not follow. If you want to heard, evidence is what you need to put up with your baseless rants.

I don't know if you're doing someone's job or not. However, reading your posts reveals you are somehow representing some company. This is where some disagreements and some evidence popped up.
If you say you're just a customer, then you should not sound like you're their rep. Dissatisfied customers also report on the same companies and cannot be ignored by merely stating businesses do commit mistakes like all the corporate giants. It must be the prime responsibility of all the businesses to hear their dissatisfied customers and must address their issues. Otherwise, they'll visit forums like this one and let the entire world know the hidden truth.

Well Khan am not basically representing anyone. I must tell you one more thing as you sound to talk reasonably.

Basically the reason behind my happiness with blah blah does not reveal that they are only one who are best. It might be that there is someone else providing better services, but I just wana say that it even depends on the mutual understanding between us and these kind of service providers. It is not necessary if one is bad/good for someone, then he is bad/good for others too... Or that if someone is good then others are bad.

All are doing their tasks but if we are taking help from any of them, we are free to share our thoughts. Right?
