Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and I just want to ask any UK essays.com customers here, do you have to provide your passport or driving license as indentification after you paid?

Thanks

Masson

Hi Sinceritas,

I'm Carly and I work for the company that owns UKEssays.com. We ask for identification to prove that you're the card holder. This is to protect us from fraud; we're trying to crack down on people that steal credit cards to pay for work. The card owner then charges back the fees and we lose money because we still have to pay the researcher.

Alternatively, if you DON'T want to submit I.D. to us (this is understandable) you can pay using using the Verified by Visa or Secure Card schemes (set up by Visa and Mastercard to prevent card fraud) or pay your money directly into our bank account.

I had to do this recently myself when buying a camera from Warehouse Express, because the camera was expensive I had to send scans of my I.D. I was dubious about it too, until they explained, so I can understand your doubts!

If you've any questions just call the offices :-)

Carly,
UKEssays (which is a trading name of Academic Answers Ltd)

hi Researcher. I just looked at the website you're trying to spam, and, now that I'm done laughing, I have some questions.

now, let me say first that I'm not like some posters here, who will malign a company, just because of a few grammatical errors on its webpage.

I know that there are legit companies out there, which operate internationally, and have programmers/CS staff who speak pretty horrible English. this doesn't matter, generally, because these people aren't the writers-- mind you, it still scares away a lot of customers and potential writers, and it looks unprofessional.

but Researcher-- this website is a joke! you can't even get the country right.

let me clue you in. most countries, in English, require no article. in other words, you don't have to say, "I'm from a Jamaica," or "I'm from the Uzbekistan." it sounds ridiculous.

however, there are a few exceptions, and if you miss these, you sound equally ridiculous. English is a hard language to master-- there are important exceptions to nearly every rule. it's easy to remember, though, because it's always the definite article.

"I'm from the UK." "I'm from the UAE." "I'm from the US." do you get it now?

fix your webpage-- it's a joke!

btw, if you feel uncomfortable giving a company your ID scan, my advice is to use an expired license, and blank out the license number. they are just looking for your address, anyway.

notice that I am not accusing anyone of fraud--just a ridiculous, glaring, global error.

perhaps I could have been more clear-- I am not one of those posters who will call a company a fraud because of these errors.

I will call it ridiculous, if a website claims to align itself w/ a certain country, mentions that country innumerable times on its page, and does not get the name of the country right.

Researcher: I need to see some form of I.D., please. I'm fairly certain you are a card-carrying member of the Department of Redundancy Department ("hehehe"), but I might be persuaded otherwise. :)

Researcher - you were beaten silly as Chacha and, as "Researcher," are the forum clown. How about your running back to essaybrunch? Don't you have some greasy essays to cook up for hungry students?

I cannot get over the fact that you actually launched a site called essaybrunch. Was someone holding a gun to your head?

I don't see what this has to do with your not being able to correctly identify the country with which your website aligns itself.

...unless you are showing me that you know "America" requires no article. it's much less complicated than "the US."

hint, hint...

Well, that would be a legitimate excuse for making an error. You, on the other hand, are simply incompetent.

Haha, it looks like I accidentally deleted something before posting. Though I am pretty tired and a little rushed/stressed this week as it's my final week here at AA - trying to tie up a lot of loose ends.

To reiterate, here's what I meant:

Hilarious. You 'tell me off' for going against the policy of the forum (though I'm not, I'm answering a query) and then you post an advert for your VERY crappy website. What a joke!
