What steps or process would you go through to get a legit writing service? I thought this was supposed to help-

I think that this is a bullshi*t site. I posted here thinking I could get some real guidance on where to get a real writing service! I have found that it is nothing but ******** and people with too much time on their hands.

People, like myself, who have gotten in some sort of bind and need help with writing a paper, shouldn't have to go through tons of crap to find a legit service or some guidance.

1 - look out for a companies house or VAT number.

2 - Make sure they have a UK landline number (not 0800, 0844, 0845, 0203 etc) such as 0207, 0161, 0113 etc. Call them. There should be no strange dial tones and the person on the other end should sound native to the UK.

3 - Be wary of low prices

4 - Finally look out for a UK bank account.

FYI, three out of four have absolutely nothing to do with the US market, on which this site is focused.

Do you need a writer or a company? Think of working with independent writers instead of spending hours on end scrutinizing websites, which use all manner of tricks to mask their identities. I see you emerging from this place much more confused than when you came in, I guarantee that.

Um, you need to stop painting all sites with the same brush.

Really sorry I ever signed up for this website. You could be helping people out. No useful information on this site, a bunch of people with way to much time on their hands-and puting everyone else down.

You had a good idea, too bad it doesn't help anyone out!

Has it not occurred to you yet that nobody cares what you think?

Next time, try reading a forum's TOS before posting stupid comments that fly in the face of the forum's purpose.

Unlike you, who are obviously so busy that you can't afford to keep posting on unhelpful websites that piss you off. Oh, wait....

I just found this place recently and i got replies to my questions, but i didn't put up a second post 22 minutes after the first one complaining that nobody responded

you can't be impatient when your asking strangers for help, it just doesn't make sense

LBeezy: That is because this site is NOT designed to advertise. It makes it too easy for adbots to do their work. It is designed to steer writers and students AWAY from bad, dishonest sites. Basically, if you see a service listed here, good chance that's a bad sign. The more search results, the more likely the company is bad. Also make sure that you look at the date of the posts: More recent, the better.

http://essaychat.com/ is a place to discuss that I've been directed to. Check Craigslist too, plenty of small businesses and freelancers promote there.
