hi everyone, i really need help from you guys.
i made payment to EssayTown on 16th july for a 13page = 3900word essay (due date: 18th july 9am) however, it was on pending until now, due to the international credit card payment verification.
After i made the payment, i got the email from "Student Network Resources Inc." asking for "Photocopies of the following are required:
1. drivers license, military identification, or passport; 2. front and back of the credit card that you used to place the order. 3. a signed letter confirming you agree to the charge from Student Network Resources Inc."
i forwarded these 3 items to them via email. but after that, no more response from them at all...
i dont know what to do now, as i really need the eassy to be done...
may i know is here anyone got the similar experience?
and i cant find the phone number to contact them from the web...is there anyone knows?
besides, is it possible to extend the due date now?
thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax. If you sent them the requested info, your order was probably processed. I don't see it on the board but have no way of knowing whether that means it went up and has already been taken by another writer or that it hasn't gone up on the board yet. Sometimes foreign orders get delayed because they need to verify the payment after getting burned by stolen credit card orders in the past.
My advice would be to take care of the deadline extension on your end and you won't have any problems. If I see it go up, I'll let them know that you're working on a new deadline and still want the paper. We're supposed to check with the company before taking any order with an expired due date and they contact you to confirm that you still want it. You should use the email addy on your confirmation email for "questions" and let them know your new due date in advance to save yourself the extra time that could be lost when the writer asks them to confirm with you after the order gets posted before he/she starts working on it.

Jerry, you're a moron. There's nothing ET requested that would put the customer at any risk--the driver's license or other form of ID is a means of ascertaining identity, and couldn't be used for identity theft or any other nefarious purposes (more info would be needed; most of these types if IDs are a matter of public record, at least in the US). The CC info the customer provides when initially placing an order, assuming the customer is honest, is the same info that will be seen on the photocopy of the card. And a signed letter is simply physical evidence that the person identified in the other documents wants their card charged.
Foreign companies that don't make sure their customers aren't using stolen cards scare me a lot more than companies that verify their customers' identities and honesty. Guess what--they verify their writers, too.

VS, listen to Freelancewriter. The absolute worst case scenario for you would be that the order isn't processed in time, at which point you would receive a full refund of any charges that were made to your CC. This is why I recommend ordering with a deadline of at least a few days before you actually need the assignment--when issues like this arise, they don't cause as much stress.
Chances are the order will go up soon (or has already been taken); just send an email to the admin and ask.

I buy online every week and have never seen a company to REQUIRE to send you anything!
Copy of credit card, passport, drivers license, military documentation!? Hell no! And this info is sent by email??!! (right, you can blame the customer he sent you the info by insecure means when it gets intercepted by hackers). Are you even PCI compliant? Then what happens to the information, how is it stored (even if securely, too late since it was sent to you insecurely). Who has access to the information, for how long? What if the information is stolen, who's responsible (the customer obviously)?
On top of that, the student sucker won't even get the essay she ordered, how funny is that!? Yes, the company will refund the money, but they retain this crucial information forever and probably store it in a drawer or on their insecure email accounts.
As I said there's a moron born every day. Students who buy essays are idiots and suckers at the same time. Especially those who willingly give away the most precious and confidential information they have to an online company.

"Jerry," you have absolutely no idea about the company's levels of email/database security or how long the company stores the info, if at all. So, I suggest that you keep your incendiary comments to yourself.

Last week I bought stuff from amazon and bestbuy, I entered my credit card info and poof, the products were shipped and delivered.
Do you really want to know what I would reply if they requested a copy of my drivers license and two sides of my credit card?
FU!

Asking to see the credit card and at times a driver's license (more commonly requested when accepting a personal check) is a common practice at many in-person retail establishments. Often, the DL # is written on the check after a cashier has verified the person's identity (i.e. looked at the picture on the driver's license and the person standing in front of them and making sure they're the same). This is not sensitive information, it's a very simple method to verify someone's authority to use a given account.
As the customer clearly stated, and as you are quite conspicuously ignoring, the order was placed using a foreign credit card, which can create extra security concerns for a relatively small US-based company (especially depending on the country in which the card was issued--I doubt UK cards are scrutinized as heavily as, say, cards issued in Pakistan, which is less stable and has a thriving black market for stolen card numbers, etc.). I'm sure even amazon and best buy take the time to verify charges when they are uncertain of their origin--or perhaps they simply reject anything questionable outright.
The fact is, your experience as a customer shopping online will not be the same as VS's, for the simple reason that you are not from the same country. Stop being a jackass and use a little logic.

FreelanceWriter, Thank you very much for your advice, i will do so later.
by the way, do you think it is possible if i resubmit the order, by using my mom's credit card. - meaning cancel the initial international credit card payment; and use my mom's instead (she is in US and having a US credit card).
infact, she wrote to SNR, but also no reply...
besides, it is a 4000 words essay regarding strategic human resource management, do you think it is possible for the writer to complete this within 10 hours
thank you!

Jerry M: Dont make me laugh! BASIC authentication procedure? Yes, in the UK it is. Whether with Barclays or RBS, we are given the option of paying an extra monthly fee for their anti-fraud/authentication scheme. As per the mentioned scheme, the buyer has to sent in a set of documents which establish that s/he has the right to use the card and is, indeed, the card holder. This helps prevent the online purchase of goods and services with stolen cards and, at the same time, reduces the chances of CHARGEBACKS being demanded of merchants due to the fraudulent use of credit cards.
Our US-based payment processor offers a similar scheme.
Jerry M: Last week I bought stuff from amazon and bestbuy, I entered my credit card info and poof, the products were shipped and delivered. Try entering a credit card which is not in your name and which is not associated with your amazon account - they will demand similar proof prior to the processing of your order.

Probably for the same reason that somebody calling your office desk on a Sunday afternoon in July won't get an answer until sometime Monday. It's an honest business but it's not a hospital emergency room or an airport control tower, ok?

I think FW and I have been fairly upfront about the fact that we work for ET, but thanks for the reminder. As for WB and WRT, no one (except they themselves) really knows, but at least their arguments make sense. Accusing everyone that uses logic of being on the same side isn't really all that derogatory.

But check this discussion and WritersBeware shouting post
WritersBeware: This is not EB's support system. http://www.essayscam.org/Forum/14/essaybay-pay-suspended-writers-1808/
Carly was trying to do exactly what you, FreelanceWriter and WritersBeware do - > customer support.
What's your say on the fact WritersBeware prevents (by bullying or yelling at other posters) to do a customer support while he is doing EXACTLY the same about his own website? Doesn't it sound unethical to say at least?

"PLEASE HELP. regarding: EssayTown"
and the support team responded. She didn't have to call you specifically "Hey Jason, ET owner, PLEASE HELP" - that way she got more responses from the company workers and it was smart from her actually.

Following the linked post, WRT responds in DEFENSE of customessays.co.uk / masterpapers.com, deceptive sites from Ukraine, owned by Yuri's Ukrainian buddy, Alexei Vitchenko. I suppose that that is "customer service," as well. Isn't that right, Stewy? There's no way that it could simply be a matter of WRT relaying FACTS, which happen to be in favor of the crooks?

Why do you point to a person who is not working for your site - it makes no sense. You'd be better off quoting me defending slandered by you sites or people instead.
