Has anyone used this service? Would you consider them to be a scam?

Protected/anonymized WHOIS info = A good indication of scam (in most cases).

Surely, a legitimate essay company would not use such a terrible name? It's absolutely awful! A friend of mine used this company. Unfortunately, she did not receive her essay on time. The essay was also below standard and they refused to refund her.

Evidence indicates that the owner of NerdEssays.com is an Asian (likely Vietnamese) man by the purported name of "Edward Hong."
He also goes by "Mike Jacobs." See http://community.vdict.com/member.php?u=31378 .
He spams under the moniker of "mikeyessays."
Mr. Hong also owns ilessays.com, which forwards to NerdEssays.com.

That could be a reason why they (illegally) advertise they do 'online classes.' ... and giving the legitimate services bad press.

Thank you. Pardon my ignorance, but how do you know this? I assume I should only do business with academic writers who are from the U.S.,U.K., Candada, Australia or NZ.

whacker1: Pardon my ignorance, but how do you know this? You don't have to worry about "how I know." I like to keep crooks at a disadvantage.

Smirk: There is nothing wrong with nerds :] Nerdessays just doesn't make a good professional name. But, that is personal oppinion so it isn't very important. What is important is that the site is another scam.

this promo is entirely off topic. i meant geeks=computer nerds
provided that true geeks rarely go for a degree, this idea has little commercial potential

Oh I'm sorry :[ You don't like my promo! :[[[[ But, then you can't have geekessays... unless we can develop it into some kind of computer game. That should spark the interest of some geeks.
