Ok - I have read several post that were completely discouraging......I need help but there are a couple of folks on here who completely turn me off. I cant tell who is legit or who isn't.
Anyway - how do I find a legit essay service or website. I would rather write my essay on my own but - it will not come out on paper and I am feeling like dope.
Thx
Peanut

I assume that you are also a student as some of us are. When I joined this forum several months ago, after I had negative experience with one of the legitimate companies out there. I started reading the threads carefully and depicted several of them that could be given my trust. If your intentions are to locate a service that you can trust, I would suggest you to use search function and seek for the companies for which there are mentioned the fewest negative comments.
Here are some links that could provide you with initial push:
http://www.essayscam.org/Forum/9_771_0.html http://www.essayscam.org/Forum/9_901_0.html http://www.essayscam.org/Forum/9_890_0.html http://www.essayscam.org/Forum/9_678_0.html
Whatch out for some of them that have appeared on this thread recently and have a strong self marketing.

It's like "pulling teeth" because the site is not designed—and members are not allowed—to help you decide which site to use.

humble: You could ask us here, there are many who be willing to help. Humble, let's not start this again, please. A member's "willingness" to help is irrelevant. It's not allowed—period. This forum's purpose is to warn people about fraudulent sites, not direct people to legitimate sites.
"6. The EssayScam Forum (that includes the private message system) is not a place for advertisements or publicity in any way. EssayScam and its moderators have the sole discretion to determine what constitutes an advertisement."
When a member breaks the rules by recommending/name-dropping/promoting a particular site in ANY way, that gives impostors and shills the excuse to do the same. In fact, the fraudulent shills in this forum have used that EXACT excuse many times to justify their advertising, as if two wrongs make a right. So, I kindly ask you to refrain.

I think you got me wrong WB. How is helping someone here against this rule! Helping someone get started is not an advertisement nor publicity.
mod said that we could help members as long as it is free of charge.

humble: mod said that we could help members as long as it is free of charge. That is not the type of help that the moderator has stated is acceptable. Acceptable help would be, for example, to provide the answer to a math problem in public view (NOT via private message, which is now formally banned).
The person asked for specific help in choosing a specific, legitimate site.
PeanutHead: I cant tell who is legit or who isn't. . . . Anyway - how do I find a legit essay service or website.
An example of a responsible response to this type of request is as follows:
"Although I and other members would like to help you, recommending/promoting/naming any particular site is not allowed, for various reasons that have already been addressed at length by both the moderator and existing members. I suggest that you read investigations in this forum to help determine which sites are NOT legitimate."

Oh yea my statement seems to be ambiguous. What I mean was that he could simply state the topic here and may be he could be helped because:
PeanutHead: I would rather write my essay on my own but - it will not come out on paper and I am feeling like dope. So all he needs is a little push and he might do it.

PeanutHead: I will just use my schools writing lab for help they are very helpful. Will probably draw up an outline with you and take it from there. Go to the lab and do it yourself - you may well regret having someone do it for you (especially if you are scammed or get caught) but you won't regret doing the work yourself :)

I tried the viper scanner to check for any plagiurism in my essay. The terms and condition state that the company keeps a copy of the work that was scanned. Therefore does this mean that if my university use a different plagiurism checker (such as turnitin) then my essay would be regonised as 100% plagiurised because the viper company has a copy of it?

Yes Moph. Don't use the same essay which you have scanned through Viper. This can really ruin you. You should put sentences from your essay in google.com You can also use copyscape.com You can publish the essay in a blog of your own - name the blog as "testing for plagarism". Then run it through copyscape.com This will surely help. We care for you.

I think "Humanity" cannot be separated from "Humans". I believe that every human should have the desire and passion to help. No rules and regulations can STOP a person from helping others in need. I hope WB loves that!

Here's a question for you, Ali. If you really are just a student, then why are you so concerned about pointing peanut in the right direction? Is this just because you're such a good person who wants others to also experience the supposed excellent service that you had, or is it because you're just another website agent/writer/owner posing as a student? ^__^

Why should any student believe that when you seem to be pretty much just another agent for a different service? Can you prove that you are just a student?

Ali1: Yes, I can prove that I am a student. All that would prove is that you are a student who owns freely-hosted, ripoff sites and steals content from other sites to make a quick buck.

In a matter of minutes, your post is going to flamed for asking that question. I too was looking for someplace to tell me the sites that ARE legit. But apparently that is taboo here. They can only talk about the sites that are not legit. So basiclly, you can read through the thousands of threads and find out what your NOT suppossed to do...or you can write the paper yourself. I've given up on the idea of trying to find someone to write this stupid essay. I'm a dad who's gone back to school and have done my share of writing in the past. I have a chance to do something with my sons this weekend. Rather then write a 2000+ word essay for some stupid humanities class I was going to go spend time with my family. I guess I will wait till I get back and cram something together the night before it's due.

So you did your own essay in the end? There's too much to sieve through in the forum for me though. All the best to you. =)
