Hi DJ,
Thanks for the link. It's a nice article, but it's obvious it's just ... a sponsored article written by the MyDropBox.com company. They try to catch up with their main competitor (Turnitin.com) - that's why they compare themselves to them. It's like a regional and small search engine company compared itself to Google so that other should think they are also a "big player."
It's one of the marketing techniques (I've just finished a marketing course and they provided a similar example). Notice the article never mentions Turnitin's whole website address - they also mention Turnitin instead of Turnitin.com; they don't link to Turnitin either.

beatrice,
good call. i didnt notice that the article was written by somene from mydropbox. This makes me wonder. Is the interview with junglepage legit, or maybe they have some kind of affiliation to catch students or they are working together. Makes me nervous about using a kind of service like that.

It's called "media manipulation" - it happens more often than people would imagine.
I'm not sure about the interview with "junglepage" - if they came up with this name, they have probably had something to do with them (I don't think the whole story is completely fake). Nowadays it's very important to learn how to read between the lines...:)

i would like to update a comment i made earlier regarding the legitimacy of junglepage.
I placed a sample order for a custom essay on a relatively easy subject, 4 pages and made a payment. Just for fun i left out some necessary information need to write the essay. I then later contacted them to let them know if anything was okay. However i never recieved a response after 2 days so i sent another. Again no response. It was a 3 day delivery paper so i was worried it wouldnt arrive. Needless to say the paper was ready by day 3, and actually 2 pages longer than what i required. Also they seem to have done the research already or known about the subject as i didnt them supplmentary materials. However since i dont have the resources to check if the paper written from scratch i cant say if they just c&p from sites. However i can say it was written decently and the service delivered.
However dont let 1 review convince you, any paper mill has the ability to be lower in quality or even dissapear over time. But for now i can say junglepage delivered.
