unclean hands n. a legal doctrine which is a defense to a complaint, which states that a party who is asking for a judgment cannot have the help of the court if he/she has done anything unethical in relation to the subject of the lawsuit. Thus, if a defendant can show the plaintiff had "unclean hands," the plaintiff's complaint will be dismissed or the plaintiff will be denied judgment.

This is the same guy who falsely accused me of "hacking" his email account and academon account because I knew his username at academon. The only reason that I knew it is because he ignorantly POSTED it himself while spamming his personal academon link for monetary gain (against forum rules, of course).

Update:
I received my refund and I am very happy that I was reimbursed. Unfortunately I will have to conduct my own research for my paper but ET handled the situation as best they could and in the end I am happy with the outcome.
