Hey, guys.
I ordered a paper from Essaytown recently. They already charged me for the paper and guaranteed to deliver it to me within one week. But nearly two weeks later, I got an email from them:
(I replaced some private information by XXX)

This email sounds frankly to me, but more than 6 business days have past, I still haven't got my refund. I emailed them to ask about it, but I get no response.

I hope you would get a refund. Call them or drop an email reminding them of the refund. The staff is probably over worked during this time of the year at most companies.

Relax. I believe refunds are credited to your credit card but it takes a full billing cycle to show up, just like any other business/service cc refund. I saw that order (very high-level mathematics topic, right?)*. I'm amazed anybody took that order in the first place, but things do happen beyond our control. I wrote several papers from my dad's hospital room a couple of years ago and when he died, there were a few still pending on my account that had to be either reassigned or refunded if nobody else could do them in time. We're human, not writing robots and occasionally we miss work because we get sick, experience computer crashes, and suddenly lose members of our families just like anybody else. I'm sorry your paper didn't get done, but just check your cc statement next month and I'm sure you'll see your refund. If you'd remember to come back here and let everybody know you got it, that would be fair too.

I know recommendations aren't allowed, so let me phrase this well: from what I've read, Essaytown seems one of the better sites. If I'm wrong, please contradict me. If I'm right, just say nothing... Desperately in need of a decent site...

Didn't you just say (in another thread) that you are compiling a report on ET and its purportedly fraudulent practices????!!!! How does that match with what you said here? Did you compile that report in 2 days???? It does seem that WB is right - you are a competitor and not a student ....

Isn't it interesting how br104497 changed his tune about ET after I busted him out for deceptively trying to promote his own, brand new site? Now he attacks ET because he thinks that I am attached to that site and defaming it somehow hurts me. In actuality, I just don't like liars, shills, or competitors of ANY company who sign-up here just to defame one another. I've seen it SO many times that I can usually smell it a mile away and promptly nip it in the bud before it really starts. I understand how frustrating that must be for fraudsters.

WB- you certainly did out him, even before he so carelessly gave himself away through contradictory posts :)

br104497: I know recommendations aren't allowed, so let me phrase this well: from what I've read, Essaytown seems one of the better sites. and WB replies:WritersBeware: That's right, so please don't try to get around the rule. She emphasises the `no recommendations' rule and refuses to confirm that ET is "one of the better sites." Now, if WB had any stake in ET (as goes the popular rumour), she would not have emphasised the `no recommendations' rule. This means that the only reason she has not attacked ET is because she has not found any verifiable evidence against the company and none have provided her with any such evidence, and not because she is ET.

hey ppl!!! honestly I don't get it how this site is supposed to help me or you guys either!!! seems to me that 99% of all the posts here are helping nobody. As a matter of fact they are confusing and almost totall derailing. The reason why I say this is because I was looking for a nonfraudulent essay writing site and stumbled upon this and guess what , most of the wall posts have left me more confused after reading them than ever....!!!

www.complaintsboard.com....this is where you should file it. I am a victim of essaywriters.net; these people made me do job worth $410 without paying a single dime.

Posting your negative experiences here would be more effective than complaintboard. This is a more popular forum and unlike the one you suggested, is dedicated to essay writing scams.

Yes, definitely, but not when you are at the receiving end of unspeakable abuses and threats that someone supposedly "willing to help" showers you with. Essayscam.org must remove the '15 msgs to qualify for sending PM" protocol.

Why would they state not to post the paper again, when it was an emergency situation which stopped its prevention. This would be based on time frame, and not the actual difficulty of the work itself!

I agree with FreelanceWriter, I write business/finance/accounting related papers and I consider myself a natural academic. Yet I believe that some of the business papers I will never be able to do justice with. Hence I do not accept those orders.
I have had emergency situations ( twice to be exact) where I felt bad for not being able to submit the papers. In such cases I think I am obligated to write a paper free of charge.
On a different note. Could any of the writers, recommend a reliable company to work for? Other than SNR. ONLY PM me pls. I don't want to get into any trouble.

I placed an order with EssayTown for a 10p essay on 4/27 asking to be completed by 5/1. Is there any way to find out if a writer has picked it up? It seems like the support form is down.
Thanks in advance.

I've never seen what the customer screen looks like, but you should have a tab to send a message to your writer asking for confirmation. However, if you don't get an answer, you won't know whether that's because your writer didn't answer or because the order's still on the board, except now with a message posted on it. You should send the same message using the "admin" message button instead of the "writer" message button to ask whether the order's been taken yet.

Ended up being a pleasant experience. I am sure that depends on the topic and the deadline, but mine was picked up very fast. Thanks.
