Ok this is probably not the way to do things but having been told at work about this incident I want to get as many people as possible to sign the petition to stop this so called artist.

At work we have all signed the petition below

http://www.petitiononline.com/ea6gk/

the 'artist' as he calls himself has claimed that it is ART to take a dog off the street, tie it to a gallery wall, write 'you are what you read' above its head in dog food high enough so that the dog cannot reach it and then allow the dog to starve to death.

the costa rican authorities consider this to be art as well and have invited him to do the same again this year. the aim of the petition is to stop him from being allowed to do this again.

sorry this is completely off the topic of this forum but it made me so upset to hear of his plans that i wanted to persuade as many people as possible to sign the petition.

I have checked out the artist details on the web to confirm that this was not some sick joke and youtube had images of the dog tied up in the gallery.

any of you out there that agree that this man should be stopped please sign the petition

SS,

Consider it signed. It's great that you've bought this to the attention of so many, have you thought about going to the newspapers?

Best,
PP

My colleague at work who brought this to our attention is in the process of doing just that so hopefully it will be in the national papers before long

yes lavinia this is why i am bringing this to the attention of as many people as possible. We at work were appalled by this and have launched a staunch campaign in the UK. My colleague is working with the national papers to put together an article and we would urge others across the world to bring this to the attenion of the media in their country. Hopefully with these joint efforts this will not be allowed to happen again.
