I've been freelancing for 12 years and am working for A-R now. For 3 months there were no payment delays, but let's see in a future...

I cannot agree. My experience has been different. They have a lot of orders. But they cringe to pay, cut corners, cheat wherever they can. At the same time, they are not blatant cheats like so many other companies I can name. I wrote for an American company and after accepting all the essays, when the payment time came, they simply put me out of the company. Academia wants to be in business; but do not mind losing a writer even for as little as $40. If you give any reason that you might stop writing for them, they do not make your last payment. Most of their writer live in India and Pakistan and some of them write quite well. Please be careful about your payment.

Freelancer posts good things about a known fraud and has only one post on the forum. Hm...

MM, I think you'd be better off listening to Frostat.

Also, I can add: All those people, Jessica, Olivia, Sean, James, John, Melissa, Linda and many more have Chinese accent. Now, I am not suggesting even for a moment that a person from non-English country should not run a business or should not write. I am only saying that people leave and go, and the next person who replaces him, takes his name and you don't know with whom you are dealing. Sometimes, it is like talking to people with amnesia, as they simply don't know what happened earlier, despite having the same names. It is all very confusing.

Getting the payment out of them is very very difficult. Please work for them only if you don't get a job anywhere else. Essay standard is nothing great either. You have to be very careful. The moment you get an email saying: "Sorry, billing company very busy. There will be delay in the payment this month" etc. you should stop writing till you get your salary.

Having said that, I also can add once again that they are not blatant cheats, just dodgers if they can get away with it and want to continue essay writing.

This is tough trade, pal!

my first experience was very tough as they say wire transfer was not available till 100$ limit had reached...Wanted to get rid off first... The payment did arrive, but with some delay due to bank, as they said. All is going well till now...

I am also awaiting my payments, the administration will call and message ruthlessly to get the work done on time. But when it comes to payments area, they simply wont address the messages like we writers were a smelly pig.
We are the ones who do the hard work and burn our night PCs.

Agreed. You receive rude messages and calls for the work; but no reply for the payment enquiries. All these companies live off our hardwork.

Academia-Research.com is fraudulent, and I have years' worth of evidence to prove it! Try searching in this forum and elsewhere.

only god knows what they are upto.
I feel so helpless at the system right now. i do not want to work more, all the motivation`s gone. I have sent back all my work and waiting for my payment. I am being ignored.

They, after cheating many times earlier, still owe me money and any correspondence about payments goes unanswered.

keep trying and pinging them frostat.
But afterall, they will have our deepest most heartfelt sorrows which will stick with them like bad omen.(it is as told in our culture, anyone who occupies the money of someone else`s hardwork pays back it in diseases and medications.).
But i know they dont care a bit, they will know what i am talking about now.

The American company which cheated me when I was dying for money, Project1stclass that cheats all gullible writers, and even Master papers....Coming to think of it, Project1stclass people should be bedridden for another sixty years with terrible pain that cannot be controlled by any kind of painkiller....... I am finding it very uplifting and hilarious. Sorry to be morbid. Still it is nothing compared to the hurt they inflict on others.

But am too hurt like other writers.
I as well as all the writer community is not against any company that follows strict ethical and professional behavior reinforced with humane concern as well as air of belongingness for everyone. This freelance field can become very productive if everyone comes together and work in harmony and with honesty.
God keeps us in every situation in life to teach us something about life.
(i think god is now saying to get some physical job and just not sit idle on a PC ;P)

one advice more frostat. please think about the name of the company for which you are applying. If it not completely reflects the image of the company, it gives atleast a weak idea behind the company`s brand value.
