Hello all,
I know the folllowing:
Academic Research Essay Writers Freelance Writing Center
I know that a lot of feeder sites end up sending orders to a handful of writing pages. What am I missing?
Can you please send me your best ones? I'm a keen and committed writer and am looking for more work!
Thanks,

No one's about to tip you off to good work sites in the off season. Competition is fierce enough right now.

I defy you to compare earnings/available orders in August and March, and tell us again about this myth.

Summer months can be good because of the Australian and summer semester markets but cannot, under any circumstances, be compared to the high seasons. Any who believe otherwise are 1) not really in this industry or 2) living in la-la land? :)
I think freelanceMLT meant that the summer months could be good, as in not dead. Dont think meant to compare???!!!

For an individual writer it doesn't really matter, it could be even better in the summer months. Depends on luck and the type of orders. The effect is macro the over all demand for these services reduces.

People generally don't take vacations from applying for jobs so they need resumes, CVs, cover letters, etc. all year round. :D

I'm not saying it's not a year-round biz-- just that you can't say that the off-season is a myth. there are def on and off seasons. (rubbing hands together) I can feel them.

well documented? I searched all fields, and found this, and one or two necro threads dominated by JAG's sad dreams of scriptwriting. I was hoping for a little diversity of opinion.
WB, I also typed in "what does WritersBeware do for a living?" but nothing came up.

I didn't mean to suggest that work stops over the summer, but as others have already noted there is simply a lot more available during the US/UK school year. I've continued to make a living over the summer, but now (and even more in a week) there are more things to choose from, I can do more assignments that I like/that are easy and get paid more for them.
I also noticed how no one wanted to give freelanceMTL any advice that might lead to more competition for orders at the companies we all work for.....

FWC is totally legit by the way. They treat their writers with respect and they pay on time. The only problem is that there are never enough orders. I have been writing with them for 1.5 years and have zero complaints.
By the way, I made multiple k in August so really it's the luck of the draw. Summer months really can be great.

freelanceMTL: By the way, I made multiple k in August so really it's the luck of the draw. Summer months really can be great. So did I, and probably many of the other writers working in the industry. But even with that figure, I made about a third of what I made last November and December, and less than half of what I made in March, April, and May. Summer isn't empty, but it's a lot slower--there are easily hundreds of thousands of people (if not millions) who are not in school over the summer, and who are for the rest of the year. This means that the potential customer base shrinks considerably--it's pretty basic. It's like swim wear sales dropping in the winter (in colder parts of the world)--sure, a bunch of people are still going to the beach, but not nearly as many as during the warmer months.

freelanceMTL: the luck of the draw Luck? Don't think so ... the good ones always have plenty of work. For some, it is the low season all year round.

OxbridgeResearchers: the good ones always have plenty of work I think "plenty" is a bit of an overstatement. The good ones always have SOME work, but during the slow season there is often not enough to go around (the good ones also usually employ dozens of writers). Also, due to the lower rates often charged by some of the scam sites, they actually attract more business. They don't get repeat customers often, and they can't hold on to good writers, but they can rip a lot of people off once.

Work in summers is not an impossibility, but of course, the adrenaline starts flowing freely during the peak season.
