Hi everyone!!

I'm writing a MA thesis in linguistics on OJ Simpson trial and I'm supposed to write two research chapters on speech acts and macrostructure. The problem is that I don't know how to do it - I don't understand those linguistic concepts, especially macrostructure.

Can anyone possibly help?? I'll gladly meet linguistics students. Are there any such??

Seriously...have your heard the expression mother goose? The mods will take care of him...you do not have to act like an authority figure. That will only cause you to garner more hatred, because it is extremely annoying as well as childish. I can guarantee you I am not the only person that feels this way. I guarantee at least 75% of posters would agree.

Of course your reply will be something like "I can post what I want", which is true...but it still does not change the fact that it is annoying and many will begin to ignore you. I know that will harm you more than anything. Let me be the first to start.

Apparently, you don't grasp the concept that I do not care what anyone thinks, especially you.

I know you do care...that is why you are always here. The most abrasive people are the people that are most concerned about how they look to others. You do care, you are concerned, and it makes you look ugly. Deny all you want. I have met people like you. Wanting to "help the innocent" but at the same time thumbing your nose at everybody. You are better and smarter than anyone, and if anybody tries to argue with you...well that is offensive to you. Who would argue with such a genius? I bet that is what goes through your mind.

You look at the TOS and post like you care so much about this message board...well I am here to tell you that your behavior will drive people away from this board. I know you do not care what people think, but maybe the owners of this board do care that they have an abrasive, stubborn, person that pretends to be an authority figure and is only looking for confrontations and negativity. So once again....grow up. You are not the center of the universe. You are not more intelligent than a majority of the people on this planet. You are not an authority figure at this site. You are just some bored (probably middle-aged) woman that has too many cats and a dream to become an author (this dream never came to fruition).

You are easy to diagnose. You are quick to become offended, yet you are quick to offend others. You only are concerned with yourself and how you look. You are the product of a selfish society. I am American and I know you are as well. People like you give America a bad name.

I know you do not care about the truth that I speak...and that is the main problem. You cannot take criticism...you always think you are correct. You are the ugly American.

All of the posts by people attempting to solicit work through this forum is annoying. That's not the purpose of this forum. There are plenty of other forums for writers and customers do to that, they don't need to do it here.

I don't think WB pointing out that such posts are against the TOS is rude. What's rude is ignoring the purpose of the board and using it for selfish gain.
