Why would anyone want to study post grad? It's crazy. I'll be earning 60k this year and it's going to only be my 2nd year at the job (graduated summer 07). Once you've graduated you should just go into a graduate scheme with a reputable firm.

In the United States, towns that house reputable institutions tend to have sky high real estate prices and elevated prices for pretty much everything else. Everyone loves to rip off students.

But, if you're thinking grad school in the U.S., I'd strongly consider only doing so if you get paid to go to school. There are lots of opportunities for fellowships for grad students and it avoids needless debt.

My sentiments exactly. Go post-grad only if it's free. :)

I also understand SolidSnake's position. For folks in the industry, a graduate degree should be enough to have you qualified for upper management positions. Post-grad studies really only count a lot when you're in the academe or in a high-end, hard science profession.

I think that due to the Global Credit crunch more students may go to the US now than say Europe. Going abroad is always going to be expensive in any case.

Hi,

I have researched all the places to study for post grad. It is true that it is better if it is free and there are many opportunities that are available too. Germany can be a better choice if you cant get to USA or Canada. I really feel that USA, Canada & UK offer the same standard of education. Germany can provide better education in technical fields like engineering...
