Hie:
I have heard that google will ban all kind of "term paper", "essays", "thesis" etc by next month. All term paper and essay related sites will not be able to use Adwords!
Google is facing too much pressure from US educators and colleges.
Term paper sites were already banned from Adsense in Feb, 2007.
What a blow to cheaters and fraud companies!

Currently I dont have.
Actually I am from PK and I personally know many companies who run these wesbites. I got to know from a colleague who is working at EssayRelief that Google has emailed them. (I assume Google has emailed all advertisers).
I will try to get a copy of that email.

This is possible, but personally I highly doubt that they would do that.
Perhaps they may ban one publisher for one or another reason, but I don't think they would ban the whole industry. Especially that they allow p0rn, gambling etc. and it brings them a lot of money. What about "homework help" or "tutoring" websites - they are actually in the same category.

Yeeh, you are right.
I doubt that they would do that because in their current "Content Guide" ads for "fake diplomas" are not allowed, yet many websites are still using Adwords for diploma mills.
So, lets wait and see :)

Where did you "hear" that--from your brother's friend's housekeeper's daughter's teacher's father's pool boy?
Yes, AdSense no longer allows personal sites to participate in the AdSense program if they also contain advertising for term paper sites. I assume this is only because whiny teachers kept complaining to Google about how term paper ads were appearing on their own sites and other "educational" sites.
This has absolutely nothing to do with AdWords. AdWords will only ban illegal products.
Plus, even if it were true, it's not a "blow" to anyone, really. All essay sites would still be on even ground in regular search results.

LOL! If Essayrelief got the email, it's probably because they are total frauds. That's good news for everyone.

I actually didn't know Adsense didn't allow that (I think they had to ban them = if that's the case = for technical reasons as they couldn't really recognize the content of the publisher site). So in some cases "term paper ads" appeared on educational, university websites.

Quoting: Major, Post #9 So in some cases "term paper ads" appeared on educational, university websites. Right. AdWords ads only appear in search engines, not on personal sites that use AdSense for revenue.

Hmm - on the other hand it seems such ads do appear on some sites, for example educationindex.net

Timmy00, I stand corrected. It's true. The curiosity was killing me, so I called a friend whose brother works for Google.
In the next few weeks, Google will be closing all AdWords accounts that deal in the sale of custom or prewritten term papers or essays.
Somewhere, Terry Semel is smiling.

I have re-confirmed it too with few other ppl. Will be posting email body shortly.
Ban will be aplicable for: Custom or pre-written term papers, essays, research papers, thesis papers and dissertations.
This ban will not affect google's organic listing.

What about the other countries - is the ban to be only on google.com (how about google.co.uk, google.com.pk etc.)?

I have same question in my mind too.
They havnt mentioned this in their email so I guess ban will be applicable for all countries.
This will be a bad news for many people but at the same time goooooood news for some people. I mean after this ban 80% of google business will go to top-10 websites in organic listing.

Yes - I don't know why essay or academic tutoring ads would be banned while the other stuff is freely available for the public..
